Boosts Qi, supplements blood, fortifies the spleen, and nourishes the heart.
 
Indication
Gui Pi Tang is useful for Qi and blood deficiency of the heart and spleen marked by palpitations, amnesia, insomnia, night sweats, deficiency-heat, tiredness, reduced food intake, withered-sallow complexion, a pale tongue with a thin, white coating, and thready, weak pulses. Spleen deficiency that fails to control the blood is marked by hematochezia, subcutaneous purpura, flooding and spotting (beng lou), early menstruation, profuse pale menses, and persistent vaginal bleeding. The formula is often used for spleen-heart Qi-blood deficiency or spleen failing to govern the blood.
