Full Spectrum

Whole Herb Extracts

Full-Spectrum Extracts contain all the active chemical constituents of whole herbs in concentrated form. Full-Spectrum Extracts most closely mimic the effects of whole herbs because full-spectrum extracts contain the same balance of chemical constituents and the same complex interactions between chemical constituents as whole herbs.

The Full Spectrum Extraction keeps a plant as close to its natural makeup as possible. Extracting the whole part of the herb containing the plant's active ingredients -- the whole leaf, whole root, or whole stem, for example -- maintains the plant's natural integrity and balance, enhancing its overall therapeutic effects and keeping the extract as close to the original plant as possible. The result is the use of all the plant's natural metabolites working in harmony together.

One of the greatest benefits of using Tianjiang products is that they are full spectrum herbal extracts, they are not only composed in a way that provides the full range of constituents from the plant but is also balanced in the same way we see in the original plant. In the past, it was not believed to be possible to produce herbs that were full spectrum while maintaining the proper quality and potency. However, thanks to breakthroughs in technology, and Tianjin's commitment to innovating its processes to helpfully extract all the natural benefits that traditional Chinese herbs can provide, we are proud to have a product line that is both standardized and full spectrum. Combined with our high-quality manufacturing processes, we here at Tianjiang are able to create the highest quality herbs available on today’s market.

Our Standardized Full Spectrum Process

The process for creating herbs that are both potent and full spectrum begins with the plants we choose to harvest. When the plants are at their peak, they are harvested and put through intensive quality assurance procedures to ensure that we are only producing the highest quality raw herbs. They are then processed thoroughly with traditional methods and sized for extraction. Afterward, the plant material is concentrated in pure natural water in closed extraction equipment that is fully controlled with a computerized digital system to optimize the potency. Throughout the procedure, the temperature is strictly controlled to allow maximum infusion, while the menstruum is regulated as to not damage any constituents. As the process continues, the menstruum is strengthened, concentrated and dried using a high-speed spray dryer which ultimately produces the powder extracts. Each plant is prepared and extracted in a way that respects the uniqueness of each herb, and strict constituents’ measures are implemented throughout the process. Our two-step extraction procedures allow both botanical constituents and essential oils to be fully drawn out without using solvents such as alcohol and hexane. Our 17 extraction patents in technology are what allow us to achieve this process.

The Benefits of Full Spectrum

There are many benefits to choosing herbal extracts that are full spectrum. The key to its success starts at the evolutionary processes of humans and plants. As the plants have evolved throughout history, natural selection has allowed them to strengthen their chemical balance of hundreds of constituents. Over millions of years, the herbs have reproduced, adapted to changing environments, as their chemical balance became stronger and stronger, the plants were and continue to be able to grow and fight off predators, and through competition and natural selection, these plants have been able to thrive as viable life forms.

Humans have evolved on a similar trajectory as plants and all species, and as a result, Full Spectrum herbs have had incredible healing powers for humans. We have used plants throughout our history not only as medicine but as food and shelter. Humans and plants have been cohabitating and cooperating for the long-term survival of both life forms as long as humans have existed on this planet. Since the full spectrum herb has the right chemical balance and range to execute the life processes needed to survive and evolve, they are able to complement the similar components of the life processes of humans. Because of these evolutionary processes, herbs that are full spectrum and carry the full range of constituents of chemical compounds are able to heal humans better than herbs that have been altered and carry a much smaller risk of side effects.

Typically, in the process of creating medicine, industries have sought to isolate specific compounds in plants in order to make stronger, more effective drugs. This has no doubt resulted in many incredible medical breakthroughs which have helped treat many diseases. However often times these drugs come with harmful and debilitating side effects and can become addictive. The full spectrum herb is much more in sync with the processes of human metabolism than a non-full spectrum herb, which allows it to address problems such as chronic conditions and nutritional imbalances without disturbing the balanced synergy of human’s biological processes. When specific compounds are isolated to treat specific health problems, they are often effective in directly targeting the ailment however they can also affect other parts of the complex system of human health in harmful or unpredictable ways. Full Spectrum herbs do a much better job at accounting for the full health of the human, which is why they are becoming more and more popular.

Our access to modern technology, combined with our commitment to the tradition of Chinese herbalism, allows us to conduct a process that results in herbal extracts that are both Full spectrum and fully standardized. We are committed to producing herbs that harmonize with the full scope of the bodies biological processes, and our attention to detail allows us to achieve this goal without sacrificing the benefits of standardization.

Peak 3: cryptochlorogenic acid peak
Peak 4: hyperoside
Peak 5: (S): isoquercitrin
Pharmacological studies have shown that flavonoids with isoquercitrin and hyperoside as main components have the functions of regulating blood lipids, preventing arteriosclerosis, increasing coronary flow, anti-myocardial hypoxia and arrhythmia, and anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects. Organic acids such as chlorogenic acid and cryptochlorogenic acid have pharmacological effects such as antibacterial, antiviral, liver-protecting, lowering blood pressure, lowering blood fat and scavenging free radicals.
